The film Easy Rider was one of the first independent films produced that made a ton of money. Peter Fonda produced it on a budget of under a half a million dollars and it ended up grossing over 60 million dollars at the box office.
The film came out fifty years ago on July 14, 1969 and Peter Fonda who produced and co-wrote the movie with Dennis Hopper and Terry Southern died a couple weeks ago on August 16th so I thought it would be timely to put up a half a dozen links to this legendary movie.
