I first met Chelsie Tamms in 2017 when I did a blog on her when she was an artist in residence at The Prairie Center of the Arts. I was impressed with her unique art ability and the business she had started, Lettering Works.
About a year later she was one of the first people I told about my Marty Monologues idea and asked her if she’d be interested in designing a logo for the first show and a poster. She said she’d love to and here’s the first poster for the very first Marty Monologues back in 2018.
I love how she incorporated my face into the logo. It was the perfect way to brand the name, The Marty Monologues!
I posted all of Chelsie’s Marty Monologues in my post announcing this new show and you can check out that post at this link.
Below are two MBIP posts that feature Chelsie and some other articles about Chelsie and Lettering Works through the years.
Here’s the wonderful poster that Chelsie designed for the upcoming Marty Monologues Show that’s happening on November 9th at 7pm at Kenny’s Westside Pub. She did a fantastic job with this and I appreciate all the art and branding that Chelsie has contributed to these shows through the years! Thanks for all you do, Chelsie! Check out the Lettering Works website right here.
If you’d like to come to the show, tickets can be purchased at Lit. On Fire Books, Relics and Kenny’s Westside Pub. Acme Comics has sold out of tickets and I thank them for that!
