Last Wednesday was Peoria’s hometown hero, Dan Fogelberg’s birthday. I thought it was only fitting to take a look back at Dan’s life in and out of Peoria, Illinois.
We’ll start out with photos of Dan in his first band, The Coachmen in Peoria and then have other local photos, videos and links to online articles and websites.
It’s all…ahem…part of the plan!

ONLINE DAN FOGELBERG PHOTOS With The Coachmen AND A VIDEO
The Coachmen were a popular Peoria band in the mid ‘60’s. When Dan Fogelberg joined the band they were re-christened as The New Coachmen.
They opened up for The Hollies, The Who, The Dave Clark 5 and many other well known bands from that era.
In the top photo, The New Coachmen were, from the left: Robyn Sleeth, Jon Asher, Dan Fogelberg, Terry Walters and Tom Cain.
These are two photos from an acoustic show Dan performed at the Peoria Civic Center Theater. You can see the set list from this 1997 show by clicking here.
This is a video from that October, 1997 show at the Peoria Civic Center Theater.
