Okay, let’s go in and start this week’s Saturday night adventure!
Marci was up at the hostess station and she said it would be a short wait for a table and that we could wait at the bar till one opened up.

As you can see, Marci was right, it’s packed in here and every table is filled up. This is a testament to the great food and vibe in here.
Even the bar is jammed, but I managed to get a drink in spite of that.
I think I know these two people…
It’s Jon and Mae, tonight’s special Saturday night guest stars! They’re looking fantastic and it’s wonderful to have them join us for our Saturday night dinner!
If you haven’t bought Jon’s book, Punks In Peoria, that he co-authored with Dawson Barrett, now would be the perfect time to purchase this punky tome!
Right after I snapped that photo, a table opened up for us in the side room over here.
I’ve never had dinner in this room and I’m excited to do so!
Jon and Mae have settled in at the table and they’re perusing the menu.
Our pretty and friendly waitress is Nikki, who we met last January when I had dinner with Amber and Joe in here. Great to see her smiling face again!
We started off with the Sweet Chili boneless chicken wings.
They were juicy, tender and had just the right amount of sweet and heat. A wonderful start to our Saturday night dinner!
Just as we finished up our appetizer, Nikki showed up with our main courses, perfect timing!
From the top: Mae had the Taco Dinner with Cole Slaw, Jon got an order of Chili Mac, I got the “Original” Cheesesteak Sandwich with a side of mac and cheese and we split an order of fries with cheese sauce.
Everything looks fabulous and the food is always fantastic in here.
My side of mac and cheese was so rich and creamy! Sometimes mac and cheese can be bland, but this was so tasty and delicious!
Then I dove into the Cheesesteak sandwich and it was phenomenal!
What a fantastic blend of rich melted cheese, tender steak, peppers and onions on a bakery-fresh baguette roll. What a wonderful sandwich!
Mae and Jon raved about their dinner choices as well! What a glorious Saturday night dinner!
