I mentioned yesterday that I’m going on vacation this week. I’m taking off to go to New York for a week on Wednesday. Since it’s a vacation week my thoughts went to my favorite Go-Go’s song, “Vacation.” So I thought I’d put up a half a dozen Go-Go’s’ links and then below them are the coming attractions for Monday and Tuesday. And then...vacation!

How The Retiring Go-Go’s Became The Ideal Soundtrack To Suburban Teen Rebellion - There’s a 1982 quote in this article from Jane Wiedlin saying: “I can’t see myself hopping around the stage in a miniskirt when I’m 40.” Whoops!

It’s going to be a short week here at MBIP. Tomorrow I’ll be posting my evening at Te-J’s bar, which is really a hidden gem. There’s a great beer garden there and it’s connected to a pool school! Plus I had Butch’s Pizza! Tuesday features the 51st sandwich in our year of the sandwich tour and then, I’m going on vacation! The blog will be on hold until Friday, June 30th, when I post pictures of the vacation. Okay, I gotta go start packing now, we’ll see you all tomorrow!
